In Days Of Old
In days of old the story goes
The pirates was so bold.
They sailed upon the stormy seas
In search of hidden gold.
Now here’s a whale of a pirate’s tale,
The truth it should be told.
Me words was froze as they left me lips,
Those days they was so cold.
So Heave Ho! Away we go.
We’ll sail for the setting sun.
We’ll sleep all night and play all day,
living on the sea is fun. OI!!
Well the winds did blow and the currents flowed,
We thought we’d go where there was no snow.
Where sea meets sand there’s grass huts
On islands full of coconuts.
A lovely place where the sun shone bright,
It even shone all through the night.
It shone so bright it raised the heat
And that’s why we have smelly feet.
So Heave Ho! Away we go.
We’ll sail for the setting sun.
We’ll sleep all night and play all day,
living on the sea is fun. OI!!
To save me nose and me toes
We had to sail where the trade winds blows.
A lovely place of fun and pleasure,
where pirates usually lose their treasure
So Heave Ho! Away we go.
We’ll sail for the setting sun.
We’ll sleep all night and play all day,
living on the sea is fun. OI!!
And now to the tail of me pirate’s wail
The truth was truelly told
This treasure seekin’s way to hot
Or else it’s much too cold.
So Heave Ho! Away we go.
We’ll sail for the setting sun.
We’ll sleep all night and play all day,
living on the sea is fun. OI!!
